Farewell Earthlings. North Korean state media has announced the death of leader Kim Jong Il. The Economist has featured him several times on our covers since 2000.

Rocket man.

Love the reuse of the exact same image in the last two. Sorta feels magical.

[Desolate image in a gray scale with a semblance of celestial industry (Eraserhead scenery maybe?) Muted ethereal sounds. The light is brighter in the middle. Slow movements, the clouds are not moving briskly; A Girl’s shadow becomes steadily  more visible in bottom right hand corner arms her arms are flailing]

[We are in a bedroom. Shot from the left of a bed. A girl and boy lay spooning to the south (left) in white sheets with a bed facing east. The time is in the dawn of the morning and light is creeping into the room. The girl begins to fidget and make content mattress sounds. She turns around facing the boy. The boy next to her does not rouse.]

Rolling onto his hand next to his shoulder and interlacing her thighs in his she asks him softly in his ear: “How do you say Dolphin in French?”

The boy keeps his eyes closed and smacks his lips: “It’s Oreiller I think” and rolls his nose into her hair

“Oh!” she says her eyes popping wide open (she is satisfied with the answer and repeats it)

The girl nuzzles into his ribs with her hand over his chest and the boy lets her. She begins to kiss him in his neck and collarbone. More mattress noise ruffling, as if the audience is in the sheets. The girl moves her hands across his shoulders and finds her way on top of him. She continues to kiss him and he enjoys her hair on his ribs. She sits up straddling him and sits comfortably impressed with the boner she has peaked. Sufficiently roused, he rises to meet her and they continue to mix morning and groping noises. She leans back stretching but seductive. Her gaze finds him again and instantly her face changes to a look of popular horror. She gasps in terror but remains straddling the boy. We see that there is a legion of moving black insect looking critters migrating and multiplying at a slow pace across his hairless chest.

Close up of the bugs: “Kamen What are those?!” she asks in alarm (voiceover)

He looks down casually [his chin peeks into the frame and he is undisturbed, almost distant.] “Oh. This girl she left-” his voice tapers as the girl looks at herself and we see she also has legions of insect looking things crawling about her breasts, but that in reality they are too dark, almost like cursed dark chocolate chips, to be insects.

“Kamen!” she gasps signaling her own chest

“They were Gerbils, this girl left gerbils” he says monotonically

“Gerbils?”

“Yes, this girl left girble eggs in my bed, something about -”

“These are not gerbils!”

The girl stands up to run out of the room. The vindictive gerbils fall to the floor like tidal waves of paper cranes.
